There shall be two
categories of membership:
5.1
The first category shall consist off ordinary
members. This category shall be open to all those
who have participated in past ASPR peace-building in
Africa foundation courses. However, to become
members, such persons shall pay a registration fee
of US $25 twenty-five dollars) and an annual fee of
US $25 (twenty-five dollars) or any such sum as may
be prescribed by the NAPS Board of Directors.
5.2 The second category
shall consist of affiliate members. This category
shall be open to but is not restricted to
individuals, institutions or organisations that have
contributed substantially to the theory and practice
of peace-building, conflict resolution and peace
research. Any interested individuals, institutions
organisations shall make an application on a
prescribed form and on its approval shall be
conferred affiliate membership on the payment of a
registration fee of U.S $50 (fifty dollars) and
annual fee of US 50 (fifty dollars) for individuals,
and a registration fee of US $100(one hundred
dollars) and annual fee of US $ 100 (one hundred
dollars) for institutions and organisations.
5.3 Every member,
whether ordinary or affiliate, shall, upon admission
and subsequently, annually before 31 May, pay the
prescribed annual fees.
5.4 Unless otherwise
expressly or impliedly restricted, all members of
NAPS shall have a right to participate in all
activities of the network, but only paid-up members
shall qualify to vote or be voted for elected
positions.
